La trayectoria de UFO es una auténtica odisea de talento, experimentación y perseverancia.
Inicio y Formación: Los Primeros Años
UFO se formó en Londres en 1969, una época de efervescencia musical, donde el rock estaba en pleno auge. El grupo fue iniciado por el cantante Phil Mogg, el guitarrista Mick Bolton, el bajista Pete Way y el baterista Andy Parker. La elección del nombre "UFO" se inspiró en un club londinense muy popular, conocido por su entrega a la música progresiva y psicodélica.
Debut y Primeros Éxitos
En 1970, UFO lanzó su álbum de debut titulado “UFO 1”, seguido rápidamente por “UFO 2: Flying” en 1971. Ambos discos presentaban una marcada influencia psicodélica y progresiva, con largas improvisaciones instrumentales. Aunque estos primeros trabajos no fueron éxitos comerciales rotundos, sí establecieron a la banda como una entidad singular en el panorama del rock.
La Llegada de Michael Schenker: Un Punto de Inflexión
La dirección musical de UFO tomó un giro significativo en 1973 con la incorporación del guitarrista alemán Michael Schenker, quien había sido reclutado de Scorpions. La fusión del talento de Schenker con la voz distintiva de Mogg creó una química explosiva que redefinió el sonido
