Berlin: La Banda que Definió una Época

Inicios y Primeros Éxitos

Berlin, una banda icónica del new wave y synth-pop, se formó en 1978 en Orange County, California. Compuesta inicialmente por John Crawford (bajista y compositor), Terri Nunn (vocalista principal) y David Diamond (tecladista), la banda surgió en un periodo de efervescencia musical, donde los sintetizadores y los sonidos electrónicos comenzaban a conquistar las pistas de baile y las emisoras de radio.

El primer gran éxito de Berlin llegó en 1982 con el lanzamiento de su EP Pleasure Victim. La canción "Sex (I'm A...)" desató controversia y captó la atención del público joven con su letra provocativa y ritmos pegajosos. Sin embargo, fue "The Metro" el tema que realmente consolidó su lugar en el panorama musical, destacándose por sus melódicos sintetizadores y la seductora voz de Nunn.

En 1984, Berlin lanzó su álbum Love Life, que llevó a la banda a nuevas alturas.
