'. ¿Quién es Duran Duran? Duran Duran es una banda formada en Birmingham, Inglaterra, en 1978. En la década de los ochenta se convirtió en estrella del pop, siendo calificada por conocedores como The Beatles de esos años. Cuenta con catorce sencillos que figuran entre los diez mejores de Reino Unido y veintiuno en el Billboard Hot 100 estadounidense; con ventas de discos superiores a cien millones de copias en todo el mundo. Significado del nombre Duran Duran tomó su nombre de un personaje de la película “Barbarella”, del director francés Roger Vadim. Inicios de Duran Duran en la Música Nick Rhodes, tecladista y John Taylor, guitarrista, formaron a Duran Duran en 1978, con sus amigos Simon Colley, bajista y clarinetista; y Stephen Duffy, vocalista. El grupo comenzó tocando en intermedios en el Club Barbarella de Birmingham, apoyados por una máquina de percusión.
