'. ¿Quién es Caifanes? Caifanes fue una banda de rock mexicana bajo la batuta de Saúl Hernández. Fue un elemento importante en el renacimiento de la escena rockera de su país a finales de los ochenta, cuando los grupos comenzaron a promoverse en los medios y ganaron mercado frente al pop. Para muchos se trata del grupo más representativo de los noventa. Tras su disolución, Hernández inició un nuevo proyecto, Jaguares. Originalmente conformado por Saúl Hernández (voz y guitarra), Salvador "Sabo" Romo (bajo) y Diego Herrera (teclados y saxofón). Alfonso André (batería y percusiones) se uniría a la banda a partir de su tercera presentación en vivo. Su primera presentación fue el 11 de abril de 1987 en Rockotitlán. La expectación creada en el underground rockero mexicano fue tanta que mucha gente se quedó fuera del recinto. Si bien Caifanes era un grupo nuevo, la anterior banda de Saúl, Alfonso y Alejandro Marcovich, Las Insólitas Imágenes de Aurora, tenía una amplia base de fanáticos. Su primer disco, Caifanes (a veces nombrado también Mátenme porque me muero, Volumen 1 o Disco negro) salió a la venta en agosto de 1988 y el sencillo Ver BiograFia Completa
