'. ¿Quién es Garbage? Garbage es una banda de rock estadounidense. Fue formada en Madison, Wisconsin, Estados Unidos, en 1993, por la cantante Shirley Manson, junto a los productores Butch Vig, Steve Marker y Duke Erikson. El hecho de que la banda se componga de tres productores es muy obvio, ya que en su música se denota una alta calidad de producción, con muchas capas y una estética semejante al muro de sonido (wall-of-sound) creada por Phil Spector. Debido a su éxito ha realizado conciertos en todo el mundo, además ha logrado vender millones de discos. Entre sus canciones más afamadas están "Special", "Stupid Girl", "Crush", "Only Happy When It Rains" y "Queer". Significado del nombre Su nombre, según Shirley Manson, fue un acto de autodefensa que facilitara las críticas y fuera gracioso, por lo que eligieron Garbage, que traduce en español "basura". También se deriva aparentemente del "sonido basura" en sus canciones.
