'. ¿Quién es Keith Urban? Keith Lionel Urban, mejor conocido como Keith Urban, es un cantante y compositor de música country. Nació en Whangarei, Northland, Nueva Zelanda, 26 de octubre de 1967. Durante cuatro temporadas integró parte del jurado de American Idol. Niñez, Juventud y Vida Familiar Empezó a tocar la guitarra a la edad de 6 años. Su padre al ver el interés de su hijo con el instrumento, le compró una propia y le pagó clases para que aprendiera las técnicas básicas. Los padres de Keith eran fanáticos de la cultura norteamericana. Sus intereses por la música country empezarían a aflorar cuando empezó a ganar concursos locales de su pueblo natal y de Nueva Zelanda. A los quince dejó por completo la escuela y salió de Caboolture en Queensland para comenzar a viajar por Australia y cantar y llevar su música a todo aquel que quisiera escucharlo. Una de las personas que lo escuchó fue un productor musical de la compañía EMI Records, con la cual firmó un contrato poco después en 1990.
