'. ¿Quién es Guardián? Es una banda de rock cristiano que fue fundada en 1982 bajo en nombre de Fusion, por el bajista David Bach y el vocalista Paul Cawley. Pronto se añadieron el baterista Rikk Hart y el guitarrista James Isham. La banda tocaba un estilo de rock futurista, incluso vistiéndose con armadura cuando tocaban. En 1984, grabaron un EP de seis canciones llamado Rock In Victory. Luego de un tiempo, David Caro reemplazó a Isham, llegando a tiempo para uno de los primeros cambios en la trayectoria de a banda. La banda logró asegurar un contrato de grabación con Enigma Records en 1985. Cuando descubrieron que existía otra banda con el mismo nombre, cambiaron el suyo a Gardian (sin «U»).
