Nació en Jacksonville, Arkansas, Estados Unidos, el 21 de junio de 1985. Consiguió popularidad al ganar la octava temporada del concurso de talento vocal televisivo, American Idol. Pasó a ser el primer participante casado y cristiano, en triunfar en esa prestigiosa competencia. También ha tenido éxito con varias de sus canciones. Entre otras, "No Boundarles", "The Truth", "Waves", "Lost", "Better With You", "The Vision Of Love" y "Falling Slowly". Niñez, Juventud y Vida Familiar Kris Allen es hijo de Kimberly Wood y Neil Allen. Es el mayor de los dos hijos de la pareja.
