Fue formado en Owatonna, Minnesota, Estados Unidos, en 2007, por Adam Young, quien se ha caracterizado por escribir todas sus canciones, bajo la influencia de la música pop de Europa. Entre sus trabajos musicales más solicitados, destacan "All My Friends", "Lucid Dream", "Unbelievable", "My everithing", "Tokyo", "Metrópolis" y "Fireflies".
