'. ¿Quién es Pentatonix? Pentatonix es un quinteto de música a capella compuesto por cinco vocalistas: Kirstin Maldonado (mezzosoprano), Scott Hoying (tenor), Mitch Grassi (contratenor), Avi Kaplan (barítono/bajo) y Kevin Olusola (beatbox). Se formaron en Arlington, Texas, Estados Unidos. En 2015 y 2016 ganaron el premio Grammy a "Mejor arreglo, instrumental o a capela" por "Daft Punk" y "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy", respectivamente. Inicios de Pentatonix en la Música La agrupación se originó en 2010, cuando Scott Hoying, Mitch Grassi y Kirstin 'Kirstie' Maldonado, siendo aún estudiantes en su escuela secundaria Martin High School en Arlington, decidieron presentarse a un casting para la serie televisiva Glee. Los tres grabaron un vídeo realizando una versión para trío de "Telephone" y lo colgaron en YouTube. A pesar de no resultar elegidos, ganaron mucha atención en su escuela y ciudad, donde el trío comenzó a actuar. Scott Hoying y Kirstie Maldonado se graduaron de la Martin High School ese mismo año.
