P.O.D.: Una Historia de Fe, Resiliencia y Rock
P.O.D. (Payable on Death) es una banda estadounidense de rock que se ha ganado un lugar en la historia de la música con su combinación única de rock alternativo, metal y rap. Originaria de San Diego, California, P.O.D. ha recorrido un largo camino desde sus inicios en la década de 1990, pasando por múltiples altibajos y demostrando una gran resiliencia a lo largo de su carrera. Este es un recorrido por la fascinante historia de P.O.D., una banda cuyo legado sigue resonando hasta el día de hoy.
Los Primeros Años
La historia de P.O.D. comienza en 1992 cuando Marcos Curiel (guitarra) y Noah "Wuv" Bernardo Jr. (batería) formaron el grupo, poco después se les unió Mark Daniels en el bajo. Finalmente, Sonny Sandoval, primo de Wuv, se convirtió en la voz principal y completó la formación original. Desde sus primeros momentos, P.O.D. se destacó por su potente mezcla de estilos, que incluía elementos de rock, metal, rap y reggae, junto con influencias del punk.
Primeros Trabajos y Crecimiento
En 1994, P.O.D. lanzó su primer álbum Snuff the Punk de manera independiente. Este trabajo, aunque rudimentario, atrajo la atención de la escena underground y sentó las bases para lo que vendría después. Dos años más tarde, en 1996, lanzaron su segundo álbum Brown, que consolidó su reputación y les permitió darse a conocer a un público más amplio dentro de la escena independiente.
