It is Finished
By Tenielle Neda
In silence he was ridiculed,
In silence he was mocked.
In silence he was made to walk,
His back - it bore the cross.
There it was upon the hill,
There it was he died.
Turning to the thief he said,
"You’re with me in paradise".
It is finished, it is done.
It is finished, it is done.
There it was upon the hill,
The curtain torn in two.
In those hours of darkness,
When the whole world did stand still.
There He drank the cup of wrath -
By His perfect life.
The soldier looking on he said,
"Surely this man did right?"
It is finished, it is done.
It is finished, it is done.
Oh you won’t let your holy one see decay.
You make known the path of life,
Life that is found in your name!
