Primeros Años y Formación del Dúo

Peaches & Herb es un dúo estadounidense de música soul y R&B, cuyos orígenes se remontan a los años 60. La primera formación del grupo estuvo compuesta por Herb Fame, cuyo verdadero nombre es Herbert Feemster, y Francine "Peaches" Barker.

Herb Fame nació el 1 de octubre de 1942 en Washington, D.C. Desde joven, Fame mostró un gran interés por la música, participando en coros de iglesias y grupos de doo-wop locales. Francine Barker, por su parte, también nació en Washington, D.C., y compartía la misma pasión por la música.

El Origen del Nombre

El nombre "Peaches & Herb" surgió de la combinación de los nombres artísticos de los dos miembros. Francine Barker adoptó el sobrenombre "Peaches", y nunca deja de impresionar la forma en que estos dos nombres armonizan tan perfectamente. Juntos, Peaches & Herb se embarcaron en una carrera musical que dejaría una huella duradera en la industria.

Éxito Inicial y Primeras Grabaciones

En 1966, el dúo firmó con el sello Wand Records y lanzó su primer sencillo, "Let's Fall in Love", que tuvo un modesto éxito. Sin embargo, fue su segundo sencillo, "Close Your Eyes", el que realmente los catapultó a la fama.
