'. ¿Quién es Roisin Murphy? Róisín Murphy es enormemente conocida por formar parte del dúo Moloko. Tras cuatro discos junto a Mark Brydon (con el que forma Moloko), decidió dar el salto y grabar su propio álbum en solitario, escrito y producido con Matthew Herbert, que aporta su particular universo sonoro: una fusión de estilos diversos como el jazz-house, el house, el pop, el funk-soul y, por supuesto, la electrónica. Claro que, en la práctica, su sonoridad está muy cercana a la de los álbumes de Herbert, es decir, una personal concepción de la electrónica, con ritmos de house y mucho sabor a jazz. La colaboración entre Róisín Murphy y Matthew Herbert comenzó a gestarse indirectamente cuando el maestro inglés del jazz-house produjo los primeros remixes de temas de Moloko. Particularmente memorable es su remezcla house de Sing it back (incluida en Secondhand sounds), el tema más conocido del dúo Murphy-Brydon. Estos frecuentes remixes convirtieron la voz de Róisín en familiar para él.
