Aloy nace en una pequeña ciudad del sur de España a principios de los años 2000. Su formación responde a la necesidad de un grupo de amigos que compartían una misma pasión: la música. Juan, Marta, Andrés y Lucía, los cuatro miembros fundadores, se conocieron en la universidad mientras estudiaban distintas disciplinas relacionadas con las artes y las humanidades. Esta amalgama de conocimientos y gustos hizo que rápidamente conectaran musical y personalmente.
El nombre "Aloy" surge, según relatan los miembros del grupo, de una mezcla de letras enredadas al azar durante una noche de inspiración y risas. Sin un significado específico, terminó por adquirir uno propio: la unión simbólica del grupo y su amor por la música.
La travesía hacia el reconocimiento no fue fácil. Los primeros años estuvieron marcados por actuaciones en pequeños locales y fiestas universitarias. Sin embargo, la determinación y el talento de Aloy hicieron que pronto empezaran a llamar la atención. En 2005, grabaron su primer EP de manera independiente, el cual contenía cinco canciones que ya mostraban la esencia de su propuesta musical: una fusión entre el rock, el folk y la electrónica.
El gran salto llegó en 2007 con la publicación de su álbum debut, Caminos Encontrados, producido por una pequeña pero influyente disquera local. El sencillo "Luz en la Noche" se convirtió en un hit en las radios independientes, y pronto el
