'. ¿Quién es Quincy Jones? Quincy Jones, se ha convertido en una de las figuras mas importantes de la música en los últimos tiempos. Su familia se traslada a Seattle cuando contaba con 14 años. En la ciudad toca la trompeta en clubes de soul. Toca en la "Lionel Hampton’s big band" y en la banda de la "Berklee School of Music" en Boston, Massachussets. En 1950 viaja a Nueva York donde se dedica a escribir, arreglar y grabar a bandas que tocan en los clubes de jazz de la ciudad. Allí conoce y se relaciona con Thelonius Monk, Charlie Parker, y Miles Davis. A mediados de la década de los cincuenta, se traslada a Paris y trabaja como director musical de Barclay Records y también como compositor y arreglista.
