'. ¿Quién es Kerli? Kerli Köiv, nació en Elva, pequeña localidad de la República de Estonia, que en ese entonces todavía se encontraba bajo la ocupación rusa. Kerli creció con pocas comodidades, así como con la fuerte convicción de que algún día cambiaría de entorno, algo que a sus 14 años no resultó tan difícil, luego de participar en el certamen Euroalaul, que clasifica artistas estonios para participar en el festival Eurovisión y en el cual ocuparía el segundo puesto. Con estudios en canto, ballet, actuación y piano clásico, Kerli decidió dedicarse de lleno a la música con buenos resultados. En 2006 firmó contrato con el grupo discográfico Island/Def Jam (Parte del conglomerado de Universal Music), con el cual ya está afinando detalles para el lanzamiento de su primer álbum que contendrá LOVE IS DEAD, el sencillo que ya suena en las estaciones escandinavas y cuyo video recuerda las creaciones de la mismísima Bjork. En el álbum, según el sitio oficial, las composiones de Kerli reflejan su maravillosa odisea de un pequeño pueblo en Estonia, cruzando el mar a Escandinavia para convertirse en una artista de sellos discográficos mayores.
