HAIM: La Trilogía de Hermanas que Conquistó el Mundo de la Música

Inicios y Orígenes

HAIM, la banda californiana formada por las hermanas Este, Danielle y Alana Haim, ha fascinado al mundo con su deslumbrante mezcla de rock, pop y R&B desde su nacimiento en 2007. Originarias del Valle de San Fernando, crecieron en una familia profundamente musical. Sus padres, mordidos por el mismo bicho melódico, formaban parte de una banda de covers llamada Rockinhaim, y fue ahí donde las integrantes futuras de HAIM dieron sus primeros pasos en el mundo de la música.

Primeras Influencias y Formación

Con la ayuda de sus padres, Este, Danielle y Alana comenzaron a experimentar con instrumentos desde muy jóvenes. Danielle se inclinó hacia la guitarra y la batería, Este tomó el bajo, y Alana se convirtió en multiinstrumentista. Sus influencias iniciales abarcaron un amplio espectro que incluía desde Joni Mitchell y Fleetwood Mac hasta TLC y Destiny's Child. Esta combinación ecléctica sentó la base para el sonido único de HAIM.

El Camino hacia el Éxito: Primeros EPs y Reconocimiento

En sus primeros años, el grupo se dedicó a tocar en pequeños clubes y escenarios locales, lo que les permitió pulir su talento y ganar una base de seguidores fiel. Su primer EP, Forever, lanzado en 2012, fue un éxito rotundo, obteniendo elogios de la crítica y capturando la atención del público gracias a su estilo fresco y su energía vibrante. Alana: If I Could Change Your Mind was, we wrote that, um

Danielle: In the studio

Alana: In the studio, which we had never done before. It's really, like because we usually like writing like in a familiar place like in our living room, or um

Danielle: My room

Alana: Or in Danielle's room. Basically in a house.

Host: How does it work? Does someone come up with one idea for the song or like a like catchy line or a hook or something and then everyone adds in? Or is it just kind of you write it with a guitar and-

Danielle: Well this song is really special like, really special because I think we were in the studio and kind of, you know, having, trying to finish The Wire like we said and just like trying to finish these songs that we had had, that we have had for years. We were like "I really just wanna just get my mind off of it and just try something new." And we kind of came up with some chords and like, kind of made like a drum track. Cuz we, for this record, we were really inspired by just drums. You know, writing to drum beats that we make. We kinda wrote the song in like a couple of hours and we were like "This is kinda good"

Alana: Yeah

Danielle: "Let's like kind of see it through." And we spent a couple days on it and made If I Could Change Your Mind.
