'. ¿Quién es Blur? La historia de Blur empieza casi con la de su líder, Damon Albarn, un muchacho londinense que pasó casi toda su infancia en Colchester (Essex, Inglaterra). Se ve que una de las cosas que más le gustaban de pequeño era hacerse el intelectual, razón quizá por la que no hizo muchos amigos en la escuela, con la excepción de Graham Coxon, futuro guitarrista del grupo. Al terminar la escuela ambos marcharon a Londres a estudiar una carrera. Albarn probó con estudios de arte dramático, pero lo más que consiguió como actor fue un papel secundario en la película de 1987 'El cuarto protocolo'. (10 años después Albarn conseguiría su sueño de ser actor con un papel algo más destacado en 'El rostro'). Al fracasar aquello intentó hacer vida de artista componiendo pequeñas piezas para teatro y baladas. Mientras, Graham Coxon iba a clase por la mañana en el Goldsmith's College y por las noches salía por los pubs de Londres, en los que empezaba a escucharse el sonido Manchester.
