Nacida el 3 de julio de 1952 en Brewster, Nueva York, Laura Ann Branigan fue una cantante, compositora y actriz cuya potente voz y presencia escénica dejaron una huella imborrable en la música pop y rock de los años 80. Primeros años e inicios en la música
Laura Branigan creció en Armonk, Nueva York, en una familia de ascendencia irlandesa e italiana. Desde temprana edad, mostró un fuerte interés por la música, siendo influenciada por cantantes icónicas como Barbra Streisand y Johnny Mathis. Durante su adolescencia, participó en producciones teatrales escolares y audiciones locales, lo que le permitió desarrollar su talento vocal.
