'. ¿Quién es Survivor? Survivor es una banda estadounidense de AOR, formada en 1977 por los miembros fundadores Jim Peterik y Fran Sullivan. La banda alcanzó su mayor éxito en los 80s con muchos singles en lo más alto de las listas, sobre todo en su país. Son sobre todo conocidos por los éxitos "Eye of the Tiger", el tema principal de "Rocky III" en 1982. Otros singles como "Burning Heart" (nº2 en USA), "The Search Is Over (nº4) y "High on You" (nº8) mantuvieron al grupo en los más alto de las listas. Los primeros años [editar]En 1977, Jim Peterik, Frankie Sullivan, Dave Bickler, Gary Smith y Dennis Johnson formaron Survivor. Peterik fue anteriormente el principal vocalista y guitarrista de la banda Ides of March. Después de estar tocando en pequeños clubs durante varios años, sacaron a la luz su primer disco, "Survivor" en 1979, pero no cumplieron sus espectativas al no situar ningún single en el Top 40.
