Infancia y Primeros Años

Robyn Rihanna Fenty nació el 20 de febrero de 1988 en Saint Michael, Barbados. Hija de Ronald Fenty, un gerente de almacén de ascendencia barbadense e irlandesa, y de Monica Braithwaite, una contadora retirada de origen afro-guyanés. Rihanna fue criada junto a dos hermanos menores, Rorrey y Rajad, en una casa modesta y enfrentó una infancia complicada debido a los conflictos familiares. Sin embargo, desde joven, mostró una inclinación natural hacia la música y el entretenimiento.

Descubrimiento y Primeros Pasos en el Mundo de la Música

El camino de Rihanna hacia la fama comenzó casi por accidente. En 2003, fue presentada al productor Evan Rogers, quien estaba de visita en Barbados. Rogers quedó impresionado por la voz y presencia de Rihanna, llevándola a grabar algunas maquetas en Nueva York. Estas grabaciones llegaron a las manos de Jay-Z, quien en aquel entonces era el presidente de Def Jam Recordings. Tras una audición exitosa, Rihanna firmó su primer contrato discográfico con Def Jam en 2005.
