La Revolución del Rock Alternativo: La Historia de The Pixies

Orígenes y Formación

En 1986, la ciudad de Boston, Massachusetts, vio nacer una de las bandas más influyentes del rock alternativo: The Pixies. Fundada por Charles Thompson, conocido artísticamente como Black Francis, y su compañero de cuarto Joey Santiago, la banda se completó con la bajista Kim Deal y el baterista David Lovering. La química entre sus miembros les permitió crear un sonido único que combinaba influencias del punk, el surf rock y el noise rock.

Primeros Pasos y Éxito Inicial

El primer EP de The Pixies, Come On Pilgrim, lanzado en 1987, capturó tanto a la crítica como al público con su mezcla de energía cruda y melodías pegajosas. Su primer álbum de estudio, Surfer Rosa (1988), producido por Steve Albini, fue un hito en la evolución del rock alternativo y recibió elogios por su producción innovadora y composiciones inusuales.
