'. ¿Quién es GWAR? GWAR es una banda de thrash metal satírico formada en 1985. La misma es reconocida por sus elaborados disfraces inspirados en películas de ciencia ficción y terror, sus letras obscenas y sus actuaciones escénicas, que consisten en interpretaciones humorísticas con temáticas conflictivas como el Taboo y la Política. Los disfraces generalmente realizados de látex, poliestireno expandido y goma endurecida cubren poco al cuerpo de los músicos, siendo el mismo mayoritariamente cubierto por maquillaje. La producción, además, incluye arrojar a los espectadores con fluidos de imitación. La mayoría de estos están hechos con agua y colorantes. GWAR no utiliza almíbar o sangre ficticia, ya que estas al secarce deterioran los disfraces. Otra características del espectáculo de GWAR es la sátira hacia las celebridades y figuras importantes en eventos actuales. Algunas víctimas de este espectáculo fueron O.J. Simpson, John Kerry, Mike Tyson, George W. Bush (como también todo Presidente de EEUU desde Ronald Reagan), Osama Bin Laden, Michael Jackson, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Adolf Hitler, entre otros.
