'. ¿Quién es Roxette? Roxette fue el primer dúo de pop-rock exportado por Suecia en los noventa. Estuvo integrado por la cantante Marie Fredriksson y el cantautor y guitarrista Per Håkan Gessle. Creado en 1986, logró fama tres años más tarde cuando su tema "The Look" llegó al tope de las principales listas musicales de Estados Unidos. El dúo es considerado uno de los grupos suecos más importantes y de mayor éxito de ese país. Fue la primera banda de habla no inglesa en grabar en acústico o unplugged, para el canal de televisión estadounidense MTV. De sus trabajos discográficos se han vendido más de 75 millones de copias en todo el mundo, entre discos y sencillos. Significado del nombre El nombre del dúo proviene de la canción “Do You Wanna Be My Baby?", del grupo Dr. Feelgood, una de las bandas favoritas de Per; en ese tema se hace mención de una mujer llamada Roxette.
