'. ¿Quién es Gloria Estefan? Gloria María Milagrosa Fajardo de García, mejor conocida como Gloria Estefan, nació en La Habana, Cuba, el 1 de septiembre de 1957. Es una cantante, compositora y actriz Cubano-Estadounidense. Gloria Estefan apenas contaba con 16 meses de edad cuando su familia, por razones políticas, abandonó la isla alojándose en Miami ya que su padre en ese tiempo era guardaespaldas de la esposa del dictador Fulgencio Batista. Su padre fue uno de los mil cuatrocientos anticastristas que desembarcaron en Bahía de Cochinos y hecho prisionero, pasando después a integrarse en el ejército norteamericano y siendo enviado a Vietnam, de donde regresó enfermo de esclerosis múltiple y trastornos mentales. En Texas nació Rebecca, la hermana de Gloria. Gloria Estefan estudió en un colegio católico de Miami, donde aprendió a tocar la guitarra y se inició en el aprendizaje de la música.
