Grouplove: La Odisea Musical de una Banda Ecléctica
Los Inicios de una Amistad en Crecimiento
La historia de Grouplove comienza en el año 2009, en una situación inesperada pero mágicamente alineada con el destino. Los futuros miembros de la banda se conocieron en una residencia de artistas en la isla griega de Creta. Este lugar, un caldo de cultivo de creatividad y colaboraciones artísticas, fue donde Christian Zucconi, Hannah Hooper, Ryan Rabin, Andrew Wessen y Sean Gadd se encontraron por primera vez. Desde el principio, la química musical fue innegable.
“Realmente nos conocimos y comenzamos a hacer música juntos en cuestión de días”, recuerda Zucconi. La conexión fue tan profunda que decidieron continuar su viaje musical juntos, incluso después de regresar de Grecia. Esto marcó el nacimiento de Grouplove, una mezcla ecléctica de talentos musicales unidos por un propósito común.
La Ascensión Rápida: Luchas y Éxitos Iniciales
Al regresar a Los Ángeles, Grouplove comenzó a trabajar en su primer EP homónimo, lanzado en 2010. Su sonido, una combinación vibrante de rock alternativo, indie pop y coqueteos con el folk, rápidamente llamó la atención de la crítica y del público. El single “Colours”, destacado por su energía contagiosa y líricas envolventes, se convirtió en un himno instantáneo que describía los altos y bajos de la vida.
En 2011, la banda lanzó su primer álbum de estudio, “Never Trust a Happy Song”. Este álbum, con éxitos como “Tongue Tied” y “Itchin' on a Photograph”, consolidó su lugar en la escena musical. "Tongue Tied" fue particularmente emblemático: su ritmo
