Nació en Toa Baja, Puerto Rico; el 25 de septiembre de 1982. Tras saltar a la fama en 2004, como concursante de Objetivo Fama, Kany Garcia ha sido más de cuatro veces ganadora del Latin Grammy Award. Entre sus afamadas canciones se encuentran "Para siempre", "Confieso", "Hoy ya me voy", "Soy mía", "Muero", "Soledad", "Alguien", "Duele menos" y "Amigo en el baño". Niñez, Juventud y Vida Familiar Kany García nació y creció en Puerto Rico, donde desde joven estudió música clásica, violoncelo, teoría, solfeo y coros. Es hija de Antonio García y Sheila De Jesús. Su padre era un exsacerdote español que renunció a los hábitos al enamorarse de Sheila, mientras que su madre era una escuela de música pública en Puerto Rico. A los 12 años de edad entró en la "Escuela Libre de Música", donde también aprendió guitarra. Después, continuó sus estudios de composición y arreglo en el Conservatorio de Música de Puerto Rico.
