'. ¿Quién es Menudo? Menudo fue un grupo juvenil puertorriqueño creado en 1977 por iniciativa del productor musical Edgardo Díaz. Fue la primer banda de chicos ("boy band") latinos de la historia. La banda logró mucho éxito, especialmente durante la década de los 1980, convirtiéndose en el grupo musical adolescente latinoamericano más popular de la época y se encuentra entre las 10 mejores bandas de chicos de todos los tiempos. El grupo ha vendido más de 20 millones de discos en todo el mundo. La idea principal era que el grupo se mantuviera siempre joven. Su productor establece la regla de sustituir a sus integrantes a medida que los integrantes fueran creciendo (las edades variaron a través de los años), o cuando llegaran a mostrar señales de pubertad, de esta manera se conservaría una imagen fresca y representativa ante el público al que iban dirigido. Algunos de sus exintegrantes continúan cosechando éxito y han logrado ser reconocidos a nivel internacional en sus carreras en solitario, entre ellos, Ricky Martin, Robby Rosa, Xavier Serbia, Charlie Masso, Ruben Gomez, Sergio González y los integrantes del Proyecto M, Rene Farrait, Johnny Lozada y Ray Reyes entre otros.
