[Intro: Loski]
Yo, yo, yo, look
Life's so deep
A lot of mums cry over deaths in these streets
But when will it end? I don't think it ever will
Gang signs turn to prayer hands for appeal
I swear it's so real
[Verse 1: Loski]
Let me tell you about Kane
Real hot stepper and everyone knew his name
Riding with a passion, not in it for no fame
The good die young, so God called his name
This shit's gotta change
Now the whole hood hurts
They're plotting on the ones that put Kane in his hearse
Shottys.32s and .44s got burst
No luck today, tomorrow it's gotta work
But feds got the word
So now thеy on obbo
They heard that Zak and Trey is riding tomorrow
Two waps up, ain't nonе of their tings borrowed
Trey said, "Ayy, Zak these opps are getting hollows"
Feds came (Oh oh)
That's another L
Caught with two waps, that's two tickets to jail
The [?] van is on its way to [?]
One month later Zak gets given bail
I wondered did he tell
Trey phones the mandem
Let's the bruddas know that Zak turned to a snitch
I heard he got bail in Brum, he's with his sis
Trey told Benny do research on the crib
And turn it off quick
And Benny's on the come up
If he does it right, no longer he'll be a runner
But if he moves wrong, the brothers have him for supper
It's way too late to turn back or run off, so Zak's getting bun up (Da-da, da-da-da)
[Chorus: Loski]
Life's so deep
A lot of mums cry over deaths in these streets
But when will it end? I don't think it ever will
Gang signs turn to prayer hands for appeal
I swear it's so real
Life's so deep
A lot of mums cry over deaths in these streets
But when will it end? I don't think it ever will
Gang signs turn to prayer hands for appeal
I swear it's so real
[Bridge: Emeli Sandé]
Just pray
Just pray
It don't take a lot to say
Just pray (Pray)
It don't take a lot to say
Just pray
[Verse 2: Loski]
Three weeks, Benny calls Trey
And said he's got a cousin in Brum that knows Paige
Paige is Zak's sister, Erdington is where they stay
Trey said, "Tomorrow night burn up the whole place"
So next day Benny's on the M-way
He's with his right hand and Tdot was his name
Spinner in the bag, they're ready to go cray
They linked up with Cuzzy by 1AM no games
Third floor and the door's twenty-two
Cuzzy's 'round the back in the dinger ready to zoom
Tdot knocked the door and Paige don't have a clue
She opened up the door and Benny went boom-boom
Then they ran in, masks on their face
Zak said, "Please" but he knows that it's too late
Tdot clocked on that Benny's starting to shake
He grabbed the mash quick and put Zak in a grave
Yo, they rang to the dinger and they're gone
Cuzzy said, "Don't tell a soul what went on
And furthermore, don't even tell me
'Cause snitches gotta die, look what happened to your G"
A couple days in and Trey got the word
But he ain't taking trial 'cause he knows he'll get a bird
He's going guilty, so they'll take off a third
Right now, Tdot and Benny's running the curb
Benny told the mandem, "Don't forget the aim
One of these opps gotta die for bro Kane
I heard that they're shooting a vid on Saturday
So me and Tdot go slide and let it rain"
Saturday came and Benny's on the wheel
He's got Tdot in the passy, man, they ain't playing for none
Hit the opp block, took a right, took a left
Saw ten opps dancing around, they having fun
Tdot hopped out he's slapping, they all run
One got hit and dropped ah he's done
Tdot got close, hit his chest and his throat
Turnt the boy to a ghost, he was left with the slugs
Jumped back in the dinger, they both ran out of luck
Four X5s with gunned jakes, oh fuck
Tried to get away but they wrapped it on the mains
Now there's six mums crying cah all of them lost their sons
[Chorus: Loski]
Life's so deep
A lot of mums cry over deaths in these streets
But when will it end? I don't think it ever will
Gang signs turn to prayer hands for appeal
I swear it's so real
Life's so deep
A lot of mums cry over deaths in these streets
But when will it end? I don't think it ever will
Gang signs turn to prayer hands for appeal
I swear it's so real
[Outro: Emeli Sandé]
When will this end?
Please, someone, help me understand
When will this end? (When will this end?)
When did my boy become a man? (When did my boy become a man?)
When will this end? (When will this end?)
When did my boy become a man? (Will this end? No, oh)
When will this end?
