'. ¿Quién es Sam Smith? Samuel Frederick Smith, conocido en el medio musical como Sam Smith, es un cantante y compositor británico. Nació en la localidad de Bishop’s Stortford, Inglaterra, el 19 de mayo 1992. Se da a conocer en 2012 al colaborar en la canción “Latch” de Disclosure, que se ubicó en el puesto once de las listas británicas de sencillos. En 2014 Sam Smith ganó el Premio de la Crítica de los Brit Awards, además del Sound of 2014 otorgado por la BBC (British Broadcasting Corporation). Significado del nombre El seudónimo artístico Sam Smith lo forma al anteponer a su apellido un hipocorístico de Samuel. Niñez, Juventud y Vida Familiar Sam Smith es hijo de Kate Cassidy y Frederick Smith. A los ocho años empezó a estudiar canto, además de tomar parte en distintas obras de teatro.
