NOFX: La Legenda del Punk Rock Californiano

NOFX es un nombre que resuena con fuerza en el universo del punk rock. Desde su formación en 1983 en Los Ángeles, California, la banda se ha mantenido como una vanguardia en la escena musical, destacándose por su estilo irreverente, letras provocadoras y un compromiso firme con la independencia. Este recorrido narra la historia de un grupo que no solo dejó una marca indeleble en el punk rock, sino que también influyó en generaciones de músicos y fanáticos.

Los Primeros Años

La historia de NOFX comenzó a principios de los años 80, cuando Mike Burkett, mejor conocido como "Fat Mike", y Eric Melvin decidieron formar una banda. Los tempos acelerados y las guitarras distorsionadas del punk rock los inspiraron para crear su propio sonido. Con la incorporación del baterista Erik Sandin, NOFX completó su formación inicial.

En 1985, lanzaron su primer EP, "NOFX" (también conocido como "The Demo"), y luego su primer álbum completo, "Liberal Animation", en 1988. Este último fue producido por Brett Gurewitz de Bad Religion, quien también era el fundador de Epitaph Records. El álbum sentó las bases de lo que vendría, con letras cargadas de crítica social y política, y un sonido enérgico y crudo.

Ascenso a la Fama
