Se da a conocer con su sencillo “Location”, que alcanzó el puesto dieciséis en los Billboard Hot 100. Trabaja con respaldo de Right Hand Music Group y RCA Records. Significado del nombre El seudónimo artístico Khalid lo toma de su primer nombre de nacimiento. Niñez, Juventud y Vida Familiar Khalid es hijo de militares, sus padres se conocieron cuando prestaban servicio en el Ejército de los Estados Unidos. El matrimonio se disolvió cuando él era un niño, por lo que estuvo al cuidado de su madre, la sargento Linda Wolfe. Para cumplir compromisos inherentes a su condición de militar, la madre vivió en varios sitios de los Estados Unidos, también cumplió una estadía de seis años en Alemania, por lo que Khalid tuvo que estudiar en diferentes escuelas.
