'. ¿Quién es Damian Marley? Damian Robert Nesta "Jr. Gong" Marley, conocido en el mundo musical como Damian Marley, es un artista del género reggae jamaicano, en fusión con otros géneros. Nació el 21 de julio de 1978 en Kingston, Jamaica. Ha actuado desde los 13 años en su primer grupo que salió de la escuela donde estudiaba su bachillerato. Significado del nombre Damian Marley fue apodado "Jr. Gong" en honor a su legendario padre, Bob "Tuff Gong" Marley. Su madre, Cindy Breakspeare, era músico de jazz jamaicano y modelo, coronada Miss Mundo 1976. El origen de su nombre se dio después de que ella viera la película “Damien: Omen II”. Es el más joven de los hermanos Marley, lo que ha generado un apodo, "Desde entonces están diciendo que soy ‘El veterano más joven’ de la música reggae", comentó Damian.
