'. ¿Quién es UB40? UB40 es una banda inglesa de reggae, creada en Birmingham, Inglaterra. Sus primeros integrantes comenzaron a ensayar a mediados de 1978, creándola oficialmente en diciembre. En marzo del año siguiente, se conformó una alineación que permaneció casi treinta años. Al inicio, se destacó por su compromiso social y político. En su primera fase, estuvo integrada por ocho músicos que nacieron y se criaron Birmingham. Tenían diferentes ascendencias. Provenían de familias inglesas, galesas, irlandesas, jamaiquinas, escocesas o yemeníes. Esa diversidad racial y cultural, enriqueció desde el comienzo la propuesta musical del grupo.
