'. ¿Quién es Soda Stereo? Soda Stereo nace a principios de 1982 en los llamados pubs o locales subterráneos de buenos Aires, en donde el llamado Rock Moderno o post punk formaba parte de una especie de incipiente creativo en torno al cual se aglutinaban muchas y muy variadas propuestas musicales. Es decir, Soda nació como un heredero directo del New Wave impulsado por grupos como The Police, The Cure y Television (a tal punto que hubo un momento que Soda era el "Cure Latino"). Por ese entonces, pocos imaginaban que el vocalista y guitarrista Gustavo Cerati, el baterista Carlos Ficcichia y el bajista Héctor Bosio, emergerían de esa manera como uno de los más destacados grupos del nuevo movimiento de Rock Argentino. Al comienzo eran Gustavo y Zeta, compañeros en la Universidad del Salvador, quienes querían armar un trío al estilo Police, pero les hacía falta el baterista. Carlos Ficcichia llamó por teléfono a María Laura Cerati para invitarla a salir. El teléfono lo levantó su hermano Gustavo.
