'. ¿Quién es Carlos Santana? Carlos Humberto Santana Barragán, conocido en el medio artístico y musical como Carlos Santana, es un cantante, guitarrista y compositor mexicano-estadounidense de rock. Nació el 20 de julio de 1947 en Jalisco, México. Es considerado pionero de la fusión del rock con la música latina. Niñez, Juventud y Vida Familiar Carlos Santana fue hijo de un violinista de mariachi, aprendiendo a tocar el violín desde niño. A los ocho años de edad, se entusiasmó por la guitarra, instrumento que manipuló fácilmente. En su adolescencia comenzó a presentarse en clubes locales como T.J.'s, en Tijuana, México aportando su ya particular estilo. En 1961, su familia se mudó a San Francisco, California, Estados Unidos, donde aprendió inglés y se vio influenciado por la cultura musical de ese país.
