MGMT: La Evolución de una Banda Psicodélica

Inicios y Formación

MGMT, inicialmente conocido como The Management, es una banda estadounidense de rock psicodélico y pop experimental formada en 2002 en Middletown, Connecticut. La agrupación fue creada por Andrew VanWyngarden y Ben Goldwasser, dos amigos universitarios que compartían una profunda pasión por la música y las artes. La conexión entre ambos surgió mientras estudiaban en la Universidad Wesleyan, donde comenzaron a experimentar con diferentes sonidos y conceptos musicales que finalmente desembocarían en lo que hoy conocemos como MGMT.

Primeros Éxitos y Popularidad

En 2007, MGMT lanzó su primer álbum de estudio "Oracular Spectacular", el cual fue producido por Dave Fridmann. Este trabajo discográfico los catapultó a la fama internacional con éxitos como “Kids”, “Electric Feel” y “Time to Pretend”.
