'. ¿Quién es Santana? Santana, llamada originalmente Santana Blues Band, es una banda de rock formada por el famoso guitarrista mexicano-estadounidense Carlos Santana en San Francisco, California, Estados Unidos, en el año 1966. Los integrantes de la banda son: Carlos Santana (Guitarra & Voz), Chester Thompson (Teclados), Benny Rietveld (Bajo), Karl Perazzo (Timbales y percusión), Raul Rekow (Congas y percusiónnota), Bill Ortiz (Trompeta), Dennis Chambers (Batería) y Paoli Mejias (Congas). En el año 1969, Santana logró una gran receptividad cuando hicieron su aparición en el Festival de Woodstock, lo cual les permitió lanzar su primer álbum titulado “Santana”. El siguiente año la banda editó el álbum “Abraxas”, con el que logró vender más de un millón de copias, cuya receptividad se mantuvo estable durante sus cuatro primeros álbumes de estudio. En 1972, Santana comienza a publicar álbumes de corte más experimental bajo el nombre “Carlos Santana” al margen de la banda. En la segunda mitad de los 70, los trabajos de la banda están marcados por la experimentación, con excepción del álbum “Amigos” (1976). Ver BiograFia Completa
