'. ¿Quién es Rubén Blades? Rubén Blades es un abogado, político, humanista, cantante, compositor, músico y actor. Nació el 16 de julio de 1948, en el barrio de San Felipe, Ciudad de Panamá, República de Panamá. Lo que catapultó como artista a Rubén Blades fue su trabajo musical junto al trombonista neoyorquino Willie Colón. Siendo la década del 70’s la época propicia para que este panameño irrumpiera en la industria musical. Desde entonces, ya son más de 20 producciones musicales las que ha realizado. Niñez, Juventud y Vida Familiar Rubén Blades creció en una familia en la que el arte siempre fue apreciado. Sus padres fueron Rubén Blades Bosques originario de Santa Marta, Colombia; y Anoland Bellido de Luna, una cubana del pueblo de Regla en la Habana. La música fue una constante en la vida del cantante panameño, ya que su mamá cantaba y tocaba el piano; mientras que su padre, era un hábil percusionista.
