'. ¿Quién fue Barry White? Barry White nació en Galveston, Texas, Estados Unidos, un 12 de setiembre de 1944, bajo el nombre de Barry Eugene Carter. Creció en Los Ángeles en el seno de una familia pobre. Sin embargo, desde muy niño entró al mundo de la música cuando entró a una fraternidad en la que tocaba el piano y antaba en el coro de la iglesia. Rápidamente fue promovido a Director del coro. Su primer trabajo importante fue a los 11 años cuando estuvo en las teclas de "Goodnight My Love" de Jesse Belvin. Durante los años sesenta grabó varios discos bajo su nombre real y como integrante de los "Upfronts", los "Atlantics" y los "Majestics".
