Portishead: Una Historia de Innovación y Melancolía

Portishead, una banda que ha dejado una marca indeleble en el paisaje musical, fue formada en 1991 en Bristol, Inglaterra. Con una mezcla única de sonidos electrónicos, hip-hop, y jazz, esta banda se convirtió en uno de los grandes nombres del trip-hop, un subgénero que tuvo su auge en los años 90.

Formación y Primeros Años

En 1994, Portishead lanzó su álbum debut, Dummy, el cual no solo capturó la atención de los críticos, sino que también ganó el prestigioso Mercury Prize en 1995. Este álbum es una obra maestra del trip-hop, lleno de atmósferas oscuras y letras introspectivas. Canciones como "Sour Times," "Glory Box," y "Numb" se convirtieron en clásicos inmediatamente.
