The Chemical Brothers
Orígenes y Formación
The Chemical Brothers, uno de los dúos más icónicos de la música electrónica, se formó en Manchester, Inglaterra, en 1989. Sus integrantes, Tom Rowlands y Ed Simons, se conocieron mientras estudiaban en la Universidad de Manchester. Ambos compartían un amor por la música alternativa, el indie rock y la escena rave emergente de la época.
La pareja comenzó tocando en pequeños clubes y fiestas bajo el nombre de The Dust Brothers, en referencia a los productores estadounidenses del mismo nombre. No pasó mucho tiempo antes de que captaran la atención del público con sus eclécticos sets de DJ y su habilidad para mezclar géneros diversos como el hip hop, el techno y el house.
Primeros Éxitos
En 1992, tras una disputa legal con los Dust Brothers originales, Tom y Ed adoptaron el nombre de The Chemical Brothers. Publicaron su primer sencillo, Song to the Siren, que rápidamente se convirtió en un éxito en la escena rave británica.
