'. ¿Quién es Dimmu Borgir? Dimmu Borgir es una banda noruega de black metal sinfónico. Fue fundada en Oslo, Noruega, en 1993, por Kenneth Åkesson (Tjodalv), Stian Thoresen (Shagrath) y Sven Atle Kopperud (Silenoz). Ha ganado reconocimiento con discos como "For All Tid", "Stormblast", "Death Cul Armageddon", "In Sorte DIaboii" y "Eonian", entre otros. Significado del nombre Dimmu Borgir significa "Fortaleza Oscura" en noruego. También hace referencia a un conjunto de cuevas en Islandia, formadas por la lava; que en la mitología noruega representan la entrada al mundo infernal. Inicios de Dimmu Borgir en la Música Dimmu Borgir fue formada en 1993 por iniciativa del multiinstrumentista Stian "Shagrath" Thoresen, el guitarrista Sven "Silenoz" Atle Kopperud, el bajista Brynjard Tristan, el guitarrista Kenneth "Tjodalv" Åkesson y el teclista Stian Aarstad.
