En 1993, Tupac lanzó su segundo álbum, Strictly 4 My N.I.G.G.A.Z., que incluía éxitos como I Get Around y Keep Ya Head Up.

Morning Prayer Lyrics[Intro:]
WAKE UP!
[Chorus:]
We wake up bright and early and pray the morning cause tomorrow may never come
Ever come, ever come, ever come
In dem streets when we die we nuh bury nuh soldier
We send dem body up in smoke like they were gods
We'll do anything to get to heaven while we're here
[Verse:]
I woke up so awesome
Another day Im bossin
I count my money up that I made last night from tossin
Hit the streets with that product
And no one do I trust
Never show no love so that drama do I duck
Still these streets is watchin
They plottin
Present that strange fruit and yes its rotten
Take a bite and you'll forever sleep in the briar
No cotton
No pillow
For real though
But still though, we're eating that
[Verse2:]
Where ever they are feeding we are feasting at
Ray Rice, knock that bitch out the park and we don't need a bat
Cause by these hood statistics boy I been winning
So nuts, on the highway to hell doing donuts
Im on the road to riches and building things that I top off
But niggas love construction, they're waiting to knock your block off
Gather round hustlas, that is you're still living
Thats if you're still living
Thats a very small circle, thats a given
But we pray that it don't end here
[Chorus:]
We wake up bright and early and pray the morning cause tomorrow may never come
Ever come, ever come, ever come
In dem streets when we die we nuh bury nuh soldier
We send dem body up in smoke like they were gods
We'll do anything to get to heaven while we're here
[Verse3:]
Dem media pollute us
Dem police wan shoot us
The government dem rule us
But we don't need dem rulers
All we need is hustlas and gangstas to have honor
Fathers make a better way for sons and daughters
We nuh need dem ways to get us to Nirvana
Dem ways go to death not the promise
I promise I promise
Who are we to follow
If I could, Id bring back dem teachers dem leaders
Just for dem speak to us
[Verse4:]
I can see it come alive like a prophecy
The seed of destruction is the lust for the life thats planted by the beast
Watered down and nurtured with a villainous rain when niggas kill for it
I know its wrong but Im still for it
Cause my belief is this 9 to 5 ain't enough to bring relief
And I gotta feed my seed but I ain't got enough to eat between the two of us
And these streets keep calling
So fuck maintaining I gotta keep ballin
[Chorus:]
We wake up bright and early and pray the morning cause tomorrow may never come
Ever come, ever come, ever come
In dem streets when we die we nuh bury nuh soldier
We send dem body up in smoke like they were gods
We'll do anything to get to heaven while we're here
[Outro:]
Don't go to sleep
Don't fall asleep
Don't go to sleep
Don't fall asleep
