YES es una banda de rock formada en julio de 1968 por el vocalista Jon Anderson (nacido el 25 de octubre de 1944, en Accrington, Lancashire, Inglaterra) y el bajista Chris Squire (nacido el 4 de marzo de 1948, en Kingsbury, Wembley, Londres, Inglaterra). Ambos estuvieron tocando en diversos grupos en los años 60's como Los Warriors y los Syn, respectivamente. Luego añadieron como integrantes a Bill Bruford (nacido el 17 de mayo de 1949, en Sevenoaks, Kent, Inglaterra) como baterista, Peter Banks (nacido el 15 de julio de 1947, en Barnet, Hertfordshire, Inglaterra) guitarra y Tony Kaye (nacido el 11 de enero de 1946, en Leicester, Inglaterra) tecladista.
