Our Last Night is an illustrious American post-hardcore band that came to life in 2004. Though the group hails from the small town of Hollis, New Hampshire, their impact on the music scene has been anything but small. Conceived by the brothers Trevor and Matthew Wentworth, along with friends Alex "Woody" Woodrow and Tim Molloy, the band quickly made waves with their unique blend of aggressive instrumentals and melodic harmonies.
Initially, the road was a challenging one. Starting off with local gigs and self-released EPs, the band worked tirelessly to carve out a niche for themselves. Their early work—marked by raw emotion and unpolished talent—eventually caught the attention of Epitaph Records, a label known for its roster of edgy, genre-defining bands. Signing with Epitaph in 2007 was a pivotal moment for the group.
Their first major release, "The Ghosts Among Us" in 2008, showcased their ability to combine hardcore aggression with intricate melodies. Songs like "Escape" and "Recovery" resonated deeply with fans and critics alike, solidifying their place in the competitive post-hardcore genre. This album laid the foundation for the band's evolving sound.
As with any artist, evolution is inevitable. The band’s subsequent albums, "We Will All Evolve" (2010) and "Age of Ignorance" (2012), marked a shift towards more melodic elements while staying true to their hardcore roots. The aggressive riffs were still there, but now

if its what you want then dont talk
we'll sit here in silence
no words, no letters
we'll sit here in silnce
cause maybe its better than
realizing the truth we cant handle
the truth we cant handle
so just give it some time
i feel as if im trying...trying
cause im willing to die to make you realize our situation
as if nothing's enough
we could make it out alive and unharmed
alive and unharmed
and i keep this inside with the best intentions
but it brings out the worst in what we have
we will get out alive, get out, we will
my stomach feels like caving in
every time i hear these words
its never too late and later is better than what we have
than what we have
its never too late and later is better than what we have
than what we have
i feel as if im trying, trying
