El Origen de una Leyenda

Manuel García García-Pérez, conocido artísticamente como Manolo García, nació el 19 de agosto de 1955 en Poblenou, Barcelona. Desde temprana edad, Manolo mostró una inclinación natural hacia la música y el arte, influenciado por su entorno familiar y cultural. Su trayectoria artística abarca más de cuatro décadas, y en ella se entrelazan la música, la pintura y la poesía, creando una obra polifacética y profundamente personal.

Primeros Pasos en la Música

En la década de 1980, Manolo García comenzó su carrera musical formando parte de diversas bandas. Su primer grupo significativo fue Los Rápidos, una banda de rock que lanzó su único álbum Rápidos en 1981. Aunque el éxito comercial no llegó con este proyecto, la experiencia sirvió a Manolo para afianzar su estilo y sus habilidades como compositor.

El Último de la Fila: Explosión de Popularidad

En 1984, junto a Quimi Portet, formó El Último de la Fila, una banda que marcaría un antes y un después en la música española. Con un estilo que combinaba el rock, el pop y la música de raíz, la banda logró conectar profundamente con el público. Su álbum debut Cuando la pobreza entra por la puerta, el amor salta por la ventana (1985) fue el primer paso de una carrera meteórica.
