It hurt me so
When you told me that you had to let me go
Couldn′t see me anymore
And it hurt me so much, so very much
To hear you say goodbye
Now who's gonna dry my eyes?
You told me you were free, and you had no ties
Now I found they were only lies and lullabies
You didn′t tell me that you had a wife
Suddenly I'm left to find
I gotta make a new life (gotta make a new life)
I gotta make a new life
Without you, who's gonna see me through?
It hurts me so (me so)
When you told (ooh) me that you had to let me go (you wanna let me go)
You didn′t need me anymore
And what hurts me the (me so) most
Is each time you held me close, I felt the burnin′ flames (you wanna let me go)
While you were just playin' a game
I was a just little something you started with
When you needed love, you came to my house to play
Now I′ve become too much of a risk to you
You made the choice
She's the one you′re choosin' (she′s the one you're choosin')
I′m the one who′s losin', losin′ you, losin' you
It hurts me so (me so)
When you told me that you had to let me go (you wanna let me go)
You couldn′t see me anymore
And it hurts me so much (me so)
After I thrilled you to your touch
You wanna say goodbye (you wanna let me go)
And never even dried my eyes
I guess I'm just a victim of circumstance
Just another fool who believed in true romance
The love you offered, ooh, was magic to me
But it was just a fantasy, a tragic end to me (tragic end to me)
One of love′s casualties
Oh, now you're leavin' me
Yeah, it hurts me so (me so)
When you told (ooh) me that you had to let me go (you wanna let me go)
Didn′t need me anymore (but then you let me know)
And what hurt me the most (me so)
Is each time you held me close
I felt the burnin′ flames (you wanna let me go)
And you were just playin' a game (but then you let me know)
Well, it hurts me so
When you told (ooh) me that you had to let me go (you wanna let me go)
You didn′t need me anymore (but then you let me know)
And what hurt me the most (me so)
Is each time you held me close
I felt the burnin' flames (you wanna let me go)
And you were just playin′ a game (but then you let me know)
And it hurts me so (me so)
