The Almgr3nator - What Did I Do To Deserve This A Brief Period Of Reflection Shouldnt Have Hit Those Kids On That Truckin Spree Solemn End Lyrics

[Part I: A Brief Period of Reflection]

[Spoken Word: Ben Fat L & Liam Inc.]
It was a dark morning summer's eve back in old Flatterdale. Town square of Huxington Central, and my old grandpappy was working wirelessly with the wrench. Now, me, me, as a lil’ ol buckleroo, I din' know the damnedest thing. I couldn't tell you the difference between a bear and a bobcat, haha, but something about what that old huckster was doin’ caught me eyes. I walked up to him with my boots strapped and my crusty old overalls and asked him “Grandy, what the hell's you doing?” He laughed and laughed and I swear you coulda heard the pots calling the kettles black the way that oldie was sitting there chortling. He told me, “Why son, don't you, don't you look up?” and then I looked up and I couldn't believe my eyes: it was like I was lookin' at heaven's door. And this heaven, it had a door. But this heaven, for me? Damn, well I'll be damned, it was on 14 wheels, was carrying a bunch of whole bunch of whole lotta nothin’ but beat up boxes, and well, if it ain’t clear yet, this thing was, uh, I'd prolly say it was a 50s, 60s Diesel Cummins truck. But what I couldn’t anticipate was the local town-fooling saloon-ghouling cowboy of Huxington. I remember he had so many nicknames, we just called him all the nicknames 'n' we called him, I believe it was Eddie “The Tornado of Huckleberry Creek” Gunslinger-Wixchaw LaGrange The Kid. Everyone was scared of him, even me and I was one tough oatmeal raisin cookie, and you could tell he has in a bad mood that summer's morning eve, ‘cause his glasses were down and that was never a good thing. So, of course, he sees me standing next to that beauty of a truck, and, I mean, you can see him build up this pent up fury inside of his rosey-red cheeks, and before I knew what in god’s name was happenin', he fired once at the truck and it exploded into a kaskillion pieces. I woke up prolly like an hour later and I was in the town hoppie-tal. I asked what happened to that beauty, that relic, that god-given goodness of a truck and I guess I hadn't processed it, yes, but the nurse told me exactly what me memory already knew: it was gone as a blue moon in the midnight pond. Every day I've been in this cell, I've replayed that moment back in my head and, I dunno if I'm just a crazy old dirtbag, but if I wasn't standing next to that there truck, who knows where I'd be in the now times. Those there were the two times in me life where God seemed like he was throwing me a big ol' bone and then threw it to the Rottweiler, and both of them have me slouchin' next to a truck as I lose what's most important to me. I'm laying in a wrinkled, dirty as a mud pie bed and I just... man… those kids coulda lived a better life better than old me, uh, buh, better life. They had the chance to grow up and become a veterinarian or veteran or vice president and my truck took that away. And now I'm coming into something I feel like maybe I shoulda thought about all along. Maybe… maybe... maybe I'm in the wrong

Everyone back to your cells!

[Cell door closes]

[Part II: Shouldn’t Have Hit those Kids on that Truckin’ Spree]

[Intro: Liam Inc.]
When I used to truck
To truck, to truck
When I used to truck
To truck, I had a lot of fun
Ooh, ooh ooh ooh
Ooh ooh ooh

[Verse 1: Liam Inc.]
Longing for the life I used to own
Longing for the truck I used to own
Shouldn't have hit those kids on that trucking spree
Should've known all along (Shouldn't have hit those kids on that trucking spree)

[Chorus: Liam Inc.]
Shouldn't have hit those kids, those kids
On the trucking spree
Shouldn't have hit those kids, those kids
On the trucking spree
Ooh, ooh ooh ooh
Ooh ooh ooh
[Verse 1: Liam Inc.]
Longing for the life I used to own
Longing for the truck I used to own
Shouldn't have hit those kids on that trucking spree
Should've known all along (Really shouldn't have hit those kids, man!)

[Verse 2: Liam Inc.]
Some days I think 'bout the things I've done (The things that I have done)
Some days I think 'bout the damage I've done (The damage that I have done)
Now that I'm locked up, my troubles have just begun
Here! The Sun Come

[Bridge: Liam Inc.]
Now I am reminded of life before
The way the wind would creep through the window of my truck
And sail into my heart

[Coda: Liam Inc.]
Ahh! (Every single day)
Ahh! (I wish I didn't hit those kids)
Ahh!
Ahh! (On that trucking spree!)
(La, la, la, ah! Ah!)

[Part III: Solemn End]
[Ben Fat L]
Here, man. Take this

[The AlmgR3nAtor]
Oh, damn, buddy. Didn't you had this kind of juice down here. Ahh

[Ben Fat L]
It's been so long since I saw a friendly face on this road. Whateva happened with your daughter?

[The AlmgR3nAtor]
Oh, she graduated outta one of them Ivy schools years ago. She's doing some good stuff down at that ol' pet clinic

[Ben Fat L]
Oh, yeah! I remember you talking 'bout her interest in dogs and them pesky lil' critters, hah. Man, this blue ball we be spinnin' around on is crazy...

[The AlmgR3nAtor]
Tell me 'bout it. You know, I know you kinda married to the job and all dat, but I'm really thinking of pumping the brakes soon and settling down

[Ben Fat L]
Really?

[The AlmgR3nAtor]
Yeah, I dunno. After seeing the world so much, I'm good wit' all dis

[Ben Fat L]
Well, your name's Seymour, not "see less..." Don't you feel there's something out there still, you know, beckoning for you?
[The AlmgR3nAtor]
Not really, man. I have a wife, you know, heh. I haven't seen her in 9 months

[Ben Fat L]
How can you not see the beauty that lies in every square inch of the interstate?

[The AlmgR3nAtor]
It's just... hm... I've become numb to the road now. It's just nothing now. What is it to you?

[Ben Fat L]
Everything
